A Little Bit About Me
Salam and Hello my name is Jon Bahir I worked as a psychologist at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I am a former Navy medical officer. I have 12 and 10 year old daughters who I adore. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy laughing and having fun. I also enjoy meeting new people and spending time with friends and family . Al hamdu lillah I am a moderate religious person - I have a good sense of humor and enjoy laughing and having fun, I also enjoy meeting new people and spending time with friends and family -I'm humble and easy going in things that don't touch religion. I would have to say that I am one who first loves the deen of Islam. With that I am an adventurous person. I love the outdoors. I enjoy traveling, and trying new things. I love to cook dishes that I have never tried before. My goals include learning and understanding the Book of Allah to the best of my ability, to travel to lands. I would describe myself as outgoing, kind, honest, hardworking, playful, adventurous, spontaneous, positive, curious, ambitious ( or I just know how to use the dictionary :p) . I love dance, shopping. I enjoy making the most of life and love to travel and have fun. I plan to see the world one step at a time and some company wouldn't go amiss :) I still believe chivalry is alive and treating a woman with kindness is the best thing a man can ever do to win her heart. . I am a Muslim who dresses modestly. Alhamdulillah I follow the Quran and Sunnah to the best of my abilities

When it comes to Deen I strongly believe that it is a way of life and I continue to strive to strike a balance between my religious and worldly responsibilities. I try to improve and educate myself as often as I can as I still have a lot to learn. One of my biggest passions is helping people and making a difference in their lives. I enjoy volunteering when given the opportunity and I would love to travel the world working with Islamic charities for Allah's sake. I enjoy meeting new people from different backgrounds and occasionally love to lose myself in a good book. The things that I am looking for in a potential wife are Deen, Character, Responsibility In terms of the Deen I'm looking for someone that is understanding, whose mentality and perception is of the way of Islam; the Qur'an and Sunnah and uses them as a guide for all is affairs, strictly staying from Bidah & Shirk. Someone who does not let cultural traditions (that contradicts Islam) dictate her affairs. I see my ideal partner as some who will be an exemplary role model to our future children. The character I think I would be most compatible with is a calm, reflective and level headed person who knows what She wants. Someone who is humble, kind, genuine, sincere and knows when to act and when to just listen. I am looking for an easy going sister who is big on family. The spouse I imagine is one who puts Allah(swt) first in every aspect. She is kind and caring to those around him.She enjoys a good laugh and is open minded. She is one for whom family and community are important. Looking for someone who grew up in the West, but still holds a great value to Eastern roots. Or someone with a good sense of balance of Eastern and Western values to live life here in the states. In search of a compassionate, honest and motivated woman. Someone who likes to try new things whether it is food, traveling, exploring the city, or anything else along the lines. Must be . Loyal, hard working, understanding. A person who knows how to have fun but can also hold her own in serious situations. I am looking for someone who understands and strives to fulfill all her responsibilities. In terms of the Deen and world matters. Someone who doesn’t miss a beat with her daily prayers and other obligations. In a nutshell I am looking for a partner who will bring out the best in me and stand with me through the trials of this life with hopes of achieving the eternal one.
